Environmental Engineering
환경공학은 환경오염물질의 관리 및 처리를 통하여 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 학문으로서 맑은 물과 깨끗한 공기, 폐기물의 관리 및 재활용, 기후변화 대응기술 개발 등을 통하여 제반 환경문제 해결에 필요한 전공이다. 화학, 생물학, 물리학 등의 다양한 기초학문을 공학에 적용하여 환경오염의 원인과 영향, 적절한 기술적 해결방법을 소개하고 양질의 환경보존을 위한 창의적 공학기술 교육을 실시하고 있다.
Environmental Engineering is the studies that contribute to improvement of the quality of life through management and treatment of environmental pollutants. This major is required for solving various environmental issues through clear water and air, management and recycling of wastes, and development of climate change response technologies. The department is carrying out creative engineering education to preserve good quality of environment and to introduce causes and effects of environmental pollution as well as appropriate solutions by applying basic studies including chemistry, biology, and physics into engineering.
