Environmental Engineering
환경공학은 인류에게 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 환경을 제공하고, 나아가 인류를 포함한 모든 생태계의 지속적인 생존과 발전을 영유하기 위한 공학적 기술을 개발하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이에 따라, 환경공학 전공에서는 수학, 화학, 생물학, 물리학 등에 기반한 환경에 대한 기초지식뿐만 아니라 이를 응용할 수 있는 공학기술에 대한 폭 넓은 교육을 실시함으로써 실제 우리가 직면한 다양한 환경문제들(수질오염, 토양오염, 대기오염, 폐기물 처리 및 재활용, 수자원 및 에너지 부족, 기후변화 등)을 제대로 진단하고 평가할 수 있는 고급 환경기술자를 육성하고 있습니다.
Environmental Engineering seeks to develop technologies that provide a safer and more sustainable environment, while supporting the continued survival and advancement of all ecosystems, including humankind. Accordingly, the Environmental Engineering program offers comprehensive education that covers not only the fundamental environmental knowledge based on mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics, but also their practical applications in engineering. Through this broad curriculum, the program cultivates advanced environmental professionals capable of diagnosing and evaluating diverse environmental challenges we face today—including water pollution, soil contamination, air pollution, waste treatment and recycling, shortages of water and energy resources, and climate change.
